ABOUT THE TRIP.

BSU at the Games is a group of 40 students from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. who will be traveling to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London from July 23 to August 15. This opportunity will allow students to gain unparalleled career experience in journalism, telecommunications, digital sports media production, photojournalism, public relations and graphic design. Ball State at the Games is part of the university’s immersive learning initiative. 

We will seek, create and share stories from the Games, be a trusted source of Olympic coverage to our followers and gain media placement for our work.

WHERE ARE WE?Map of where we are in England

During our three-week stay, we are residing in newly built student dorms in Worcester, England,locatedabout two hours northwest of London. Worcester (woos-ter) is an idyllic riverside setting near the rolling hills of the Cotswolds and the Welsh border (check out our interactive map). Nearby towns are Oxford and the Shakespearian centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Our student reporters, photographers and graphic designers will travel to the many Olympic sites throughout London and the surrounding areas in search of unique stories about the sports, people and places of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
